Of Salad Days and Super Friends
My first little office was adjoined by the studios of paint-speckled artists who would hang out in my doorway and break my concentration. They wanted to talk about Sartre and Kurosawa while I was trying to dash off an article to earn my $250. Over my back wall a two-man ad agency pumped out radio ads for car dealerships. Down the hall two graphic artists named Todd had discovered rap music, but not headphones. I hadn't ever been happier at work.

We all worked for ourselves, but we shared clients, business leads and the occasional software title. Because we were all out there hustling and learning, our skills stayed sharp. And when we worked together we were each other’s clients not coworkers, so we always delivered our best.

Later, when I found myself working amidst a massive amount of creative talent in post-boom San Francisco, the idea for Narratas formed.

Each contributor at Narratas is deeply engaged in their craft. Like those other Super Friends, we pull together a team with the right powers for each project. Our Mission: To tell compelling stories. To help our clients achieve their goals. And, of course, to serve all mankind. -- Jeff Erickson
